Crafting Immersive Soundscapes for Visual Storytelling

I've always had a deep passion for post-production sound. Since starting my business in 2012, I’ve dabbled in sound editing and design, but it wasn’t until 2023 that I fully embraced it, expanding my work into post-production. Now, using Pro Tools—one of the industry’s leading Digital Audio Workstations—I craft immersive soundscapes for all kinds of film, television, and video productions.

How it works

01

Get in touch and talk to me about your project. What is it you're looking for? What is your timeframe? What is your budget?

02

Based on our discussion, I will create a quote for the work and a rough schedule to complete everything.

03

Once we're happy, I will complete the first pass of the mix (from my home studio) in the timeframe discussed and arrange phone calls, video calls and/or face-to-face meetings to discuss director/producer feedback along the way.

04

Once all feedback has been implemented, the final pass of the mix will be complete and arrangements will be made to hand over the mixdown(s) to the relevant parties involved.

Portfolio

Below is my portfolio of post-production sound work from over the years. Some projects are still in festivals or have copyright restrictions that prevent me from sharing them in full, but I’ve included as many clips as possible to showcase my work.

How much will it cost?

It really depends on the type of project, the length of the project and the amount of work involved. Once you get in touch, make sure to give as much information as possible so I can give you the most accurate quote possible.

Do you compose music too?

Unfortunately not. I can mix music (and even mix different instruments together) into a sound mix, but I'm not a music composer. I do know a bunch of great composers though so let me know if you ever want any recommendations!

Where do you work from?

I work from my professional home studio in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Clients, directors and producers are welcome to visit during the post-production process if they prefer to have face-to-face feedback sessions.

Can you provide just Foley or just ADR recording services?

Yes, if all you're looking for is some foley sound recordings or an ADR session with cast, then just get in touch and I can provide a quote for these individual services.

How long does it take to complete a mix?

Depending on what is involved, it could take anywhere from 1 week to 4 weeks. It entirely depends on the type, length and content of the project.

What do you work with?

I work with the latest version of the Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), Avid Pro Tools on PC. I also have the Adobe Creative Suite, featuring Adobe Audition and Premiere, which allows me to move between different software if and when required.

You're a Sound Recordist too, can you do both location sound and post-sound for me?

Absolutely! In fact, this is the best scenario for me as I love being involved in a project from start to finish. As a sound recordist on set, I can start making early decisions about the post-sound mix further down the line which is really liberating.
